2020 Richmond Cup
The Richmond Cup is the club’s Vardon event and one of the major events on the golf calendar.

2020 – 2021 Golf Management Committee
At the 2019 Golf Club AGM the Golf Management Committee for 2020-21 were elected. The four members are:
- Frank Gal (Chairman)
- Scott Rielly (Club Captain)
- Wayne Popplewell
- Warren King
We welcome them into their roles on the Committee and wish them every success over the next two years.

Richmond Golf Club is believed to be the oldest golf course on its original site in Australia.
The first game of golf was played in Richmond in October 1897 on a course in Hawkesbury Agricultural College paddocks.
The players were C.T. Musson, Rev I. Fergusson, W.E. Street, W.J. Neilly, W.H. Ponsonby, W.C. Cameron and W.C. Icely.
A meeting was held at the School of Arts in Richmond on Wednesday, March 15, 1899, at 4pm for the purpose of forming a golf club, whereby rules, fees, officers property etc were established.
