Golf fans can bring a party atmosphere to the 10th staging of the Nova Employment Australian PGA Seniors Championship to be played at Richmond Golf Club from November 8-10.<\/p>\n
In a first for the tournament that has been played at Richmond for the past six years and nine times in total dating back to 2013, a dedicated \u201cParty Hole\u201d<\/strong> sponsored by 4 Pines and Brookvale Union, is being added that is sure to draw golf fans from throughout Sydney\u2019s north-west.<\/p>\n Four of the past five winners \u2013 Jason Norris, Andre Stolz, Peter Senior, and Guy Wall \u2013 have already entered and the new fan-friendly initiative will help to elevate one of the PGA Legends Tour\u2019s premier events to even greater heights.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Nova Employment Australian PGA Seniors Championship has made its home at Richmond Golf Club and we\u2019re very excited to take the event to another level in 2024,\u201d said PGA Legends Tour Coordinator, Andy Rogers.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have seen by the quality of winners that the Richmond layout does a great job at identifying the very best players.<\/p>\n \u201cWe think that the addition of the party hole will add to the experience not just for the fans, but for the players as well.\u201d<\/p>\n To make the party hole available to as many fans as possible, tournament and club officials have altered the configuration of the golf course.<\/p>\n Previously played as the par-4 finishing hole, the 18th will be transformed into a 100-metre par 3 that will be played as the eighth hole over the three days of the tournament. The ninth hole will become the new 18th and sits directly adjacent to the party hole.<\/p>\n \u201cThe 18th hole has seen plenty of drama and excitement in past tournaments but we\u2019re expecting even more fireworks this year,\u201d Rogers added.<\/p>\n \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be surprised if we were to see a hole-in-one there at some stage over the three days.\u201d<\/p>\n With $150,000 in prize money up for grabs and a field that is expected to include legends of Australian golf such as Peter Lonard, Peter O\u2019Malley, Terry Price and David McKenzie, the tournament\u2019s tagline of \u2018Where Legends Go To Play\u2019 has never been more apt.<\/p>\n \u201cEach year the field gets stronger, the course gets better, and the support grows more and more,\u201d said Rogers.<\/p>\n \u201cThis year\u2019s tournament will once again be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo so all golf fans, not just those in Richmond and surrounding areas, will get to see world-class golf.<\/p>\n \u201cLocal people have supported the tournament so wonderfully in the past and we\u2019re anticipating even more again this November.\u201d<\/p>\n SPECTATORS WELCOME!<\/p>\n FREE ENTRY<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Party time at PGA Seniors Championship 2024 Golf fans can bring a party atmosphere to the 10th staging of the…<\/p>\n
