Club Championships update 13/10/2022

Posted on: 13 October

The grounds staff are preparing the course for the club championships and have begun mowing fairways and rough and are also working at getting the bunkers into a playable condition.

Given the current weather forecast it is more than likely that round 1 will proceed as scheduled on Saturday, 15 October.

If that is the case and since the PGA is scheduled for 4-6 November, the championships will proceed as follows:

• All nett and age championships will be conducted over 54 holes with the final round on 29 October.
• The scratch championships (A, B, C and Women’s) will be decided on Sunday, 30 October with the leading 8 in each grade and the leading 4 women competing from about 11.30 on the first tee.
• The championship fee will be $70 payable in round 1.
• The seeded players will pay the Sunday competition fee for the final round. They can choose to compete in the competition of the day. However, they must hole out on each hole to have a score for the championship.

In the unlikely event that round 1 does not commence on Saturday the following will apply:

• The championships will be conducted over 72 holes: 36 before the PGA and 36 following the PGA.
• The timesheet for 15 October will be carried forward to 22 October.
• All published championship conditions will apply, apart from the change of dates for each round.
• The championship fee will remain at $90.

Hopefully the weather is kind to us and we can complete the championships in October.
