Richmond Ladies Clean up on the WGN Tournament Trophies

A total of 95 entries from clubs throughout the Nepean district and beyond contested the 2-day tournament, but that didn’t stop us Richmond Ladies from cleaning up. Olivia Watts produced a stunning final round to take the honours. After a first round of 81, Watts carded a one over par, 73 on day 2 to sweep most of the major awards, including the WGNSW Jubilee Trophy and scoring herself a new course record for Ladies. With a scratch score of 154 Olivia took out both the open and closed championships. Woohoo!!
Yvonne Mudiman claimed the Division 1 nett honours ahead of club mate Rhonda Longfield.
Division 2 Noeline Saxiones claimed victory and scored the Jean Rees scratch Trophy. Amanda Ford won Runner Up (Nett) and Lyn Naylor 2nd runner up (Nett).
Division 3 saw Kelly Quigley win the scratch event and stake claim to the Nepean Illawarra Cup with Vicky Brydon as 2nd Runner Up. Gwen Sills was Runner Up( Nett) & Marija Barclay 2nd runner up (Nett) .
Richmonds selected team also scored the Payten Vase for the best 3 net scores from each Nepean Club. Its worth noting that Richmond last won the Vase in 2007 and prior to that 1997.
Well Done! to the winners AND all other competitors.
